the short version
- Started publishing a directory and reviews of web-hosting companies.
- Met Dan online while we were both building hosting and advertising sites.
- Turned what we had learned about hosting customers into midPhase.
what survives
There was no grand plan here. It was an early web directory, an advertising business, and a practical education in what hosting buyers cared about.
